I’ve written about my own obsessions and fandoms for publications like The New York Times, The Atlantic, WIRED, National Geographic, and The Verge. I’ve worked with cult groups like Vulfpeck and Stamptown Comedy to grow and market to their fanbases. I’ve consulted on projects for fan havens like Tumblr and the Organization for Transformative Works. As an enthusiast myself, I have given presentations at institutions like The Royal Geographical Society and The Explorer’s Club.
Fandom is serious business. It’s the way Gen Z approaches culture. And why should entertainment & pop culture have all the fandom fun?
